Steve A. Sedaros, D.M.D
Dr. Steve A. Sedaros was raised in Satellite Beach, FL, and graduated from Satellite High School. Knowing he wanted to be a Gator, Dr. Sedaros attended The University of Florida for both his undergraduate and graduate studies. He received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in 1999 and continued at UF to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2004. He has been licensed in Florida to practice dentistry since 2004.
Dr. Sedaros completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. John Health System in Detroit, Michigan. Through his extensive training, he is well versed as an Oral Surgeon in Melbourne, FL in trauma, corrective jaw surgery, diseases of the head and neck, dentoalveolar surgery, and dental implants. His specific areas of interest include dental implants, bone grafting procedures, wisdom teeth removal, and corrective jaw surgery.
Dr. Sedaros is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, Central Florida District Dental Association, the Dental Society of Greater Orlando, and the Brevard County Dental Society.
Dr. Sedaros has participated in several mission trips out of the country to serve the less fortunate people of Nicaragua and Ethiopia. His latest trip to Ethiopia included cleft lip and palate repair and removal of tumors to the head and neck with reconstruction.
Dr. Sedaros, his wife, 2 daughters, and son live in Melbourne, FL. His interests include anything outdoors with his family, tennis, and racing high-performance cars. He is very proud to join the Melbourne community where his father and mother, Drs. Adley and Sue Sedaros, practiced medicine for over 30 years. In addition, Dr. Sedaros’ brother is an orthopedic surgeon in Brevard County.

Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires four to six additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Sedaros manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Sedaros practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. He can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures.
Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.
The surgical staff at Sedaros Oral Facial Surgery & Dental Implants are experienced oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in administration of IV sedation and surgery. All surgical staff is required to have DAANCE (Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Exam) certification, which is a rigorous course and examination that demonstrates the highest level of clinical excellence. All staff are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in health and insurance policies, and are CPR, PALS, and ACLS certified.
